Galicia has some of the most important outdoors prehistoric petroglyph sites of the Iberian penninsula. These archaeological sites, are more abundant in the area delimitated by the geographic zones of Rías Baixas, Terra de Montes and Baixo Miño.

Abstract figures are the most common designs in Monte Teton's petroglyphs, with concave-shape marks, circles, squares and lines as the most remarkable of them. But there also appear some deers, horses, and several hunting scenes depicting humans with weapons.
